Just two words, Simply awesome.

The blade seems to go on forever. I am a hairy guy and my beard is thick too. I have been using this for 5 months now and still feels like new.
Makes a lot of noise though. But has awesome power and outstanding performance.

This razor is great, holds a charge forever has a red light to tell you when to charge, big heads give a close clean cut, no bulky power pack or stand needed for charging just the cord, best electric shaver i have ever had. WELL worth the price.

Best electric shaver I've used (I've tried 3 or 4 others.) Only one that ever got me a shave as close as a razor. There's a good reason a "leading consumer magazine" rates this a "best buy" and recommends it.

I purchased this shaver for my husband for Christmas after much research. I was a bit nervous about some of the negative feedback (ie: too loud, doesn't cut longer hairs etc). My husband has a rough curly beard, and has suffered from ingrown hairs for years. Although it took about 3 weeks for his neck and face to adjust to it, most of his ingrown hairs have cleared up. This razor is not irritatingly noisy either. On a scale of 1 - 10, its about a 4 on noise level. Thus far, he's very satisfied with this product and prefers it over using a standard wet shaver.

I looked at a lot of different shavers and read a lot of customers review before buying this shaver. I checked with Consumer Reports and it was rated as a 'best buy". I have had this shaver for almost 3 weeks and it shaves very good. I shaved for 13 days on one charge. It shaves close and fairly fast. My only complaint is that twice while shaving it gave me a slight "pinch", don't know why it did. Over all I would buy this shaver again. It comes with a vinyl pouch that is a bit small to hold the shaver and charger. If you have never used an electric shaver before be advised that electric shavers eventhogh they shave close, your beard will start coming out sooner that if you use a blade, but at least you will not have the nicks and cuts that a blade razor can give you. Make sure that you charge it for 24 hours when you get it before using it, eventhough it has a charge when you get it, give it 24 hours. I would buy this shaver again.

I'd been a Norelco shaver for years, but am really enjoying my first Remington electric razor. This one is a great value. As the other reviews of it I read indicated, it's a little on the noisy side. But it gives a close shave, a charge lasts at least two weeks, and it takes only an hour to recharge the battery. We'll see how the cutters, screens, and razor itself hold up over the long haul.

This razor works very well. I have had a Braun for quite a number of years, but was unhappy with the last one as it did not last very long at all. This Remington actually shaves closer and faster than the Braun.

My first electric shaver was a Norelco rotary, after a number I switched to a braun. I now am using the Remington ms390 and have found it although a little noisier i find it the better of the three.I have found it to be the best for the soft hairs on the neck. I always assumed that the term "smooth and comfortable shave" was just marketing gibberish, but this razor changed my mind.

I used a norelco XL for the better part of 10 years until it finally died. The difference between the 2 is incredible. This razor isn't as noisy as many of the reviews would lead you to believe. Where the norelco made a horrible screeching/grinding sound, this razor is more like a humming bird pleasantly flying around your head. The shave really is smooth and comfortable with little to no irritation. Conversely, the norelco would leave my neck looking like I'd been wrestling a cougar.

I had heard that rotary razors handle long hairs better but I beg to differ after using both. The 2 position trimmer works great for finishing off those stubborn hairs that just won't stand up. I also love being able to get a nice clean edge on my beard. As others have said, it takes a bit of guess work with a rotary razor and was always difficult to get it looking nice (not to mention that if I got it to close it would just start yanking hairs).

The maintenance of this razor is also much, much quicker and easier than my old rotary. I used to schedule time to disassemble and clean my norelco. Now, a quick brushing or rinse and lube and I'm good to go.

The only place I can fault this razor is that the clippings seem to leak out a little while shaving. All in all I love this thing!

I have a very heavy beard and must shave every day. If I skip a day for any reason, I pay for it the next day when I have to shave because any razor has a hard time on my beard with more than 24 hours of growth. I've used Remington microscreen razors for more than 25 years though all the different models they've made. This MS2-390 is the best one they've ever made. It's not the latest or fanciest model but it works the best. The 2 head like the MS2-390 gives a much better shave and it's much faster. I have several of the newer Remington models (with 3 heads) in a drawer. They were a waste of money and died after less than a year of operation. Don't waste your money on the newer models or the fancy names. Get the MS20390 Remington, it's a winner.

I have owned my MS2-390 for over 4 years. It has been a very good razor. It shaves very close and is comfortable. Following the instructions of allowing the battery to completely discharge every few months, the battery life has been amazing. For the first couple of years I could go nearly 3 weeks between charges. Now I get about a week and a half. I have had only two issues with the product. First, although it shaves very close, it will not get long hairs and allows a few whiskers, especially on the neck, to go untouched. This requires using the edger occasionally to cut these areas. Secondly, the head will become loose easily. I check to make sure the head is firmly in place before each shave. If I don't, I will start the razor and nick the thin foil on the head. I have replaced the head twice since I have owned the razor. I have enjoyed the razor but would like to find one that shaves as close but also gets the longer whiskers.

For years I have avoided electric razors because I was convinced that they could not handle my heavy beard. That was before I began adding up the cost of disposible razors. I read the ratings and found the MS2-390 a consumer reports best buy and thought I'd give it a try. I was amazed. This shaver shaves me as close as a razor. Even my razor blades could miss part of my beard, but the Remington is equal or better. My wife can't believe the closeness of the shave. I find it easy to clean and while some reviews call it noisy, I don't find it the least bit loud. Why spend $180. when you can get a great shave at 60? I figure even if this lasts for one year, I'm still ahead in terms of cost of shave cream, blades, water and time.

This is a very nice shaver for under $60. It works well, holds a charge well, and is very easy to use. I would echo some other's comments - it is REALLY LOUD! It doesn't bother me but I was surprised at how loud it is. Also, like most shavers, don't miss a day or two of shaving and then use it. It's horrible at picking up longer hairs. But all in all, it's a great value and was everything that others said it would be. I'm now a Remington fan.

I owned another Remington for years and I know these are good products. The Remington MS2-390 is a little noisy, but it gives you a clean shave in a few minutes. Although some people complain about its trimmer, I find it okay. The battery recharges in just a little time and holds the charge for about a week. In addition, its cleaning process is very good. I definitely love it.
